Be a volunteer at Memorial Stores

Have you ever wanted to do some local volunteering, but don’t want to overcommit, we could be perfect for you!

Limpsfield’s Memorial Stores is a community run village shop and Post Office based in Limpsfield High Street and we are looking for people willing to join our volunteers .

Shop assistant volunteers can work hours to suit with each work slot being 1 1⁄2 or 2 hours depending on the time of day.

Volunteers choose their own slot simply by putting their name on a rota board. There is no fixed or regular commitment whatsoever, you choose what slots you want to work and when.

Training is provided on the till (most people only need one slot per week for a few weeks to get the hang of it) and shop volunteers are able to get involved in other aspects of the shop if they desire eg helping with deliveries, pricing etc.

It’s fun and sociable and a great way to make friends in the community.
