Mat Skinner heads up the business, which has been running for over 5 years. He manages around 1200 acres of land and with that a fair-sized wild deer population. A busy man, he is responsible for shooting through to butchery to processing and selling!
Venison is popular with customers because of its deeply savoury flavour. Mat’s products are a great choice whatever the time of year: his sausages make a BBQ or dinner extra special; mince can be used for dishes like Shepherd’s Pie or chilli; and diced meat is perfect for warming meals such as casseroles. According to the British Deer Society, venison is a great source of protein and lower in saturated fat than some other meats.
