Celebrating our volunteers

As part of Volunteers’ Week, which celebrates and recognises the contributions of helpers, we would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who volunteer at Limpsfield Memorial Stores and Post Office.

Every single volunteer is important to us, whether they have regular shifts or help out on an ad hoc basis. They are the lifeblood of our organization: without them we could not have traded over the last 25 years and would not have the community support that we so appreciate.

We are grateful to you each and every one of you!

Have you thought about volunteering with us? If you’d like to find out more, please do get in touch by calling 01883 713306 or seeing us in store.

“I so enjoy volunteering at the village shop. It gives me a real connection with the local community” Julie

“For the past few years, I had thought about putting myself forward to help at the shop but was not sure how I would fit it in alongside my other voluntary roles. However, as one of those roles was coming to an end, I decided to take the plunge and I am certainly not regretting it. Di, the committee and the other volunteers have been so welcoming. It’s so rewarding to be able to spend time giving back to a local business that supports so many local residents” Jacqui

“I have been volunteering for nearly five years and I enjoy it all! In addition to working on the till and immersing myself in other areas, I became involved in the committee. It was hard work at first but has helped me gain an insight into how it all ticks. Spending time volunteering allows me to engage with and get to know members of the community, and to feel connected and included” Bridget
